AST Bearings Quality Management Systems
AST® Bearings enforces a rigorous quality control program to insure that each bearing shipped is made to the highest quality standard. Our goal is to meet and exceed application requirements and customer demands. Our quality management systems conforms to and are certified ISO 9001:2008.
Our QA department is equipped with the latest vibration analyzers, sophisticated dimensional examination systems and high-performance noise measuring devices, which are all routinely inspected for accuracy. This approach to quality assurance reflects AST’s uncompromising commitment to zero-defect bearings.
To help support its quality management efforts, AST maintains two Clean Rooms and its lubrication service work is performed under Class 100 Flow Benches. AST uses state-of-the-art equipment including digital lubrication & weighing systems to ensure the correct amount & weight is introduced into each bearing AST relubricates.
AST’s Document Control is available to its employees on-line including: Quality Manuals, Procedures, Work Instructions, required forms, Standards, and customer information including customer communication and customer drawings and requirements. This ensures that each AST employee has the latest and most up-to-date information at his or her fingertips.
For the benefit of our aerospace customers, while not certified, AST maintains a quality management system that is compliant to AS9100 Rev. C. In addition to conforming to its own quality standards for its customers, AST also maintains industry quality certifications and programs including, but not limited to:
