AST Bearings, a division of Axsys Technologies, Inc., a $90M public company, NASDAQ: (AXYS) is a leading nationwide distributor of high precision bearings and bearing related products. We are presently seeking a highly motivated Product Manager for its bushings and plain bearings product line. This position reports directly to the divisions V.P. of Sales and Marketing. This is a newly created position.

Responsibilities:

• Grow revenue for the related product lines through our 20 man sales force.
• Manage profit margins according to the company's objectives.
• Manage inventory requirements.
• Develop an effective marketing and advertising campaign.
• Effectively train our inside and outside sales force.

Requirements:

• 7 plus years experience in the bushing and/or plain bearing industry.
• Experience managing salespeople.
• 50% travel both domestically and internationally.
• Previous experience handling multiple SKU?s required.
• 4-year bachelors degree in either engineering or marketing.
• Must have strong business acumen.
• Must be analytical.
• Knowledge of MS office 2000.
