AST Bearings LLC is a leading nationwide supplier of high precision bearings and bearing related products. We are presently seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer for our Montville, New Jersey Operations.

Responsibilities:

Prepare Operations/Methods Sheets. Prepare Engineering Drawings and 3-D Models. Assist in Preparation of Quotations for Mechanical Sub-Assemblies. Provide Customers with Applications and Technical Support.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• Work Experience in an ISO-9000 Environment
• Experience in Designing and Manufacturing Motion Control and Power Transmission Products and Systems, Molded Plastic or Close Tolerance Machined parts, as well as familiarity with Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Experience with Rolling Element Bearings is Highly Desirable.
• Strong Metrology and Inspection Skills with the ability to Set Up and Operate Sensitive Test Equipment.
• A minimum of 5 years of related experience
• Knowledge of Solidworks is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office required.

Essential Functions

• Applications and Technical Support: Provide Direct Support to both Inside and Outside Sales and the Customer on Application and Design Issues.
• Prepare Engineering Drawings and Specifications, as required. Purchase Material and Components. Create Operations Sheets.
• Support Mechanical Sub-Assembly Operations and Other Departments within the Facility.
• Other duties as required.
